I was looking polyester webbing for some simple way to illustrate what a hooder looks like and came up with some handy ideas. Take a human spine and graft a horseshoe crab on the end of it, and you're about there. I mean, take a look at this and imagine it ten times bigger and slamming polyester webbing down on top of you.
How IT Is. hope to read lots of "it"s in this next one. ever seen this footage of actual early hooders spotted not far from where we all live? at 1:37: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d76fiWRobU4 12:21 am
But Michael, that's what I ask you to do in my books! Larry, yeah, but I wouldn't want it in my house. Vaude, I enjoyed that clip - some cool life forms there. I might nick that floating lens thing. Glad to hear that, Friso. I see them clearly enough in my mind but always wonder, as with all my beasts, if my descriptions are good enough. 10:13 am
Are polyester webbing there bigger versions of the cover art for Orbus available? Do you have descriptions of the creatures, ships and worlds available in snippet form that could be posted on subminds, not dissimilar to the "how it excerpts" rather than having to re-read all the books again? I appreciate that this is cheeky and lazy, but it would help budding artists. For instance polyester webbing I would not have drawn a hooder with the Lamina part of the spinal column projecting up, I would have drawn somthing more similar to a Centipede but with a Trapezoid shell (elevation ways), ringed about with the red eye dots, the mouth parts and manipulators though, Horseshoe crab all the way, but maybe lots more leggy bits for rotating and dissecting. It has to be said the Polity needs an illistrated encyclopedia, to be fair it just needs an encyclopedia. 11:13 am
Hi Neal, recently I walked into a bookstore and on a whim bought a copy of "The Gabble polyester webbing and other stories" with no previous knowledge of you or your style, and I must say I am now a major fan of your work.I shall be eagerly searching for or ordering your other works too. I just had to express that after (again on a whim) googling "Hooder" and ending up here haha! I have a good picture polyester webbing in my mind of a Hooder now. Thanks and Regards Bernard. 6:58 pm
About Me
Neal Asher Latchingdon, Essex, United Kingdom I’ve been an engineer, barman, skip lorry driver, coalman, boat window manufacturer, contract grass cutter and builder. Now I write science fiction books, and am slowly getting polyester webbing over the feeling that someone is going to find me out, and can call myself a writer without wincing and ducking my head. As professions go, I prefer polyester webbing this one: I don’t have to clock-in, change my clothes after work, nor scrub sensitive parts of my body with detergent. I think I’ll hang around.
