Sometimes you are confronted on vacation with things you would rather not think about. This happened to us on Terschelling. Our guide from the day before had been talking about 'plastic soup', on the islands of floating plastic in places where currents come together.
The next day we went walking on the beach along the dike to the Ameland hole. On the way I felt called to the blisters (combination of aluminum and plastic) of a pack of gum to pick. Because I did not want to wear in my hand I asked my Hubby if he had a plastic bag. Well, and if you already garware wall ropes have a bag, then you still mess but what turnips ...
